1. Please size pictures to fit the format here - no more than 600 pixels wide. Cropping tight on the subject will aviod spending the members' bandwidth on background like walls and carpets. Most of us are interested in Swiss rifles - not interior decoration.

2. If you don't already have access to a public web server, create a public account at a photo-hosting site like Photobucket.com .

3. Upload your cropped, resized, tight pictures to your chosen host site. Highlight and copy the URL of a picture as it appears at the site (IE users - right click picture then select "Properties")

4. Click on the "image" button at the left of the posting dialog box here.

5. Paste the image URL in the dialog box that appears. Click "OK".

6. Check the "Preview" box at the bottom of the dialog window here, then the "Add Reply" button.

7. If the preview looks OK, either scroll down to add more text and images in the posting box below it or click the "Add Post" button if finished.

(Hint - if you have multiple pictures, just paste the URL of the first one and change the file name for the others. Much faster than going back and forth to your image host.)
