She looks great between my nazi C96 and hipower but is this puppy a fake or did the huns use'em? Any history/help is apprieciated! Cheers, Pita

Your best general reference is German Pistols and holsters 1934/1945 Military-Police-NSDAP volume I by Whittington.

It was a fairly popular thing to do at the time. I even saw a Jap Nambu in nickel!(YUCK!!!) Since collector value has been compromised all you would have to do is determine if you want to spend the money on refinishing it.
