Some people on the Internet still wondering how they can prove that the Finns captured SVT-40 Carbines then "SA" stamped them. The facts are as
follows:
1) No one in Finland have seen one. Nor are they in any collections there.
2) Formost authorities in Finland are still amused with the telling of these tall tails.
3) None of the Finnish history books checked by me and other Finnish collectors can find a Finnish soldiers picture or photo carrying one of these guns.
4) No Russia data has come about on the experts number of 3000-5000 production numbers of these SVT-40 carbines nor do his research friends find any info for this expert. If they did it would be posted.
5) Though he jokes about the VKT m/39s CG marking he can't produce any arsenal markings on that special SVT-40 carbine.
When he went to Russia and filmed a rare proto-type SVT-40 carbine he states the receiver proof pictures where too dark.
6) He plays on the fact a few proto-types were made and has his buddies show the pictures of them around the Internet.
7) The guns in the U.S. that are cut down SVT-40s with "SA" stamps were done in New York state and Canada as a sales pitch for customers in North America. Some poor souls have bought these guns thinking they were super rare. I'm sure they are thankful to to some Internet experts for their advice on these rare guns that they paid high prices for.
It was told on the Internet that the extended version of the D.N. Bolotin works Soviet Small Arms and Ammunition had the production figures in it. When checked by Finnish collectors it was not there. This was another lie to cover up some very screwed up information.
9) Someone had a friend put a picture on the Internet of a doctored photo to prove his point. It was exposed and led to more questions why someone would do that.
My only question is what will come up with next to prove an unprovable point. Most likely he will revert back to harassment, name calling of being insane, to the guy that stands up to him and says "the Emperor has not cloths." Hopefully he will eventually join the rest of the collecting community with a reasonable, and factual look at mil surps and give up on his prior speculations that has embarassed him and the site in which he is a co-owner. But as most know with certain peoples big egos and "expert status" that will most likely not occur.
My only other question is, what other parts of his information on mil surps is as accurate as the SVT-40 carbine deal?
