reply to RGRWJB (reply) I have no reason to lie I was trying to get info. The rifle in question was a turn bolt 98. The receiver was stamped waffenfabrik Bern. Without the Swiss cross. I know the Swiss have an aversion to foreign weapons but they used the P08 Luger for a while. ... |

98k mauser made by bern? (topic) I walked into gun dealer Martin Retting about 1975 and spotted a 98 Mauser short rifle in 8x57 rec & bolt in white with K31 style stock and sights. It was very pricey at the time I regretted not buying it later on. I have yet to see another one in all ... |
