I have a model 98 manufactured in 1938.Where can I find the "code" of the rifle?

Century has Israeli Mausers

Century Arms has Israeli Mausers for $140 to $160, depending on country of origin. The rifles at Czech, Belgian or German K98s rebarrelled for .308 caliber. The rifles are listed in "fair" condition with cracked stocks. Does anyone have any experience with these rifles?

I always thought the German K98s would be pretty much shot out. A re-barrel should have less miles on it, no?

91 Argie stock-Help!

Just got a '91 Argie. All matching #'s including the stock. Bubba got to it before me ! The stock is cut right at the barrel band, metal is untouched. Any ideas on where to get a replacement? Numrich is OOS, only place I have found one is Hunter's Lodge for $157.00, not including handguard or hardware! Read on another forum to stay away from HL. PLEASE help me! Thanks, MM...

stock for a model 98 s/147

I recently picked up this rifle. All the #s match but the stock was shortened in an attempt to sportorize it.

Can anyone help to point me to where I can get the proper stock and the odds and ends I will need? I don't intend on attempting to make this a collectable (value wise) rifle. I just want to get it back to some semblance of originality.

I have located some M88 bolts...and they are NICE!....Some Turks...some Czech made Turk replacements....and maybe a couple of non-Turk German ones. All bolt heads are the early closed bolt face type....all bolts include the head, extractor and ejector...no pitting on the bolt faces....most bolt heads and extractors/ejectors appear to be new or almost new.

I will be offering these in two grades...

Grade 1....complete bolt...good or better (most all are better...best goes...

K98 Mauser mystery

I bought a K98 mauser the other day, but living in California, I have to wait 10 days before I pick it up so I cant take any pics of it. But the salesman told me that it was a Polish mauser, and thats what the tag said. The weird thing is, is it does not look like Polish one. Its identicle to a German K98 and says "Mod. 98" on the side of the receiver. For some reason, the top of the receiver is scrubbed (the only part on the rifle that is scrubbed), and I could not find any of...

After a few weeks of trying out both the Adrenaline Systems Gun Cam Sport I and the Oregon Scientific ATC2K SD camera it is overwhelming which camera works best (please see my original post below)

1895 Chilean long rifle stock set

I have been reconstructing a 1895 Chilean long rifle and I am looking for a correct stock set. It now is set in a M96 Sweed but needs the correct stock. I have tried all my suppliers and E-bay (Just missed one by $1 there) so any help would be appreciated. I need it complete if possible but will take anything I can get. I finally got my 1916 Spanish 7mm today....It's my 1st mauser but it's my 5th C&R rifle.
I've found 1 thing in common for all my milsurps....they were made for people with short arms!!!!!
I pulled my new rifle up and felt like I was holding a daisy bb gun.....Mauser, Mosin, Schmidt/Rubin...so far their all about the same on the shoulder....made for a 5' person

I was high bidder on this one, $90 seemed like a decent price for a sporterized, non-matching Spanish 1916 7mm. I know it's nothing special, but I think I may have it reblued and search for a complete military stock set and return it to as issued condition. or maybe have it teflon coated and use it in the stock it has as my light weight, water proofed, open sighted, rainy day, carbine, deer rifle. We get a lot of those on the West Coast in November.

I purchased an Argentino 1909 Mauser made by DWM; the engineers carbine appears to be stock and in good shape with matching numbers, paid $250. I like the looks of the rifle and will eventually display it, however, right now I want to shoot it but need to know which ammo to purchase and where to find the ammo for sale. Stock Swap m48 to m24

I recently purchased an M24/47 but the stock is absolutely terrible, i would like to purchase an M48 stock and use it on the M24. I notice mostly the rings are different plus there is a sling hole versus a screw on mount on the rear plus the butt plate. anyone ever done this. is it more complicated than it looks? this is going to be a shooter so there won't be any value lost.
